shock and awe
slow clap
Hot off the press.
I notice people are wondering aloud how we can live in a society where the Epstein files can be released and yet nothing actually happens to the perpetrators.
Let's review the footage:
More than half the population watches pornography on a regular basis—58% according to Institute for Family Studies—and would be hard-pressed to non-hypocritically decry the ills of sexual degeneracy. You’ll find that the IRS can detect eight missing dollars on your tax return but nobody gets a stern letter in the mail for what they look at online when they're alone. We let this happen on purpose, because frankly, we just like it. To their credit, most are ashamed of this, yet nonetheless, shame results in cowardice. Repent and believe the gospel. Christ died to save sinners.
We have been cavalierly murdering babies by the millions and loudly defending the right to do so for over 50 years, and the difference between ripping a child limb from limb on a cruise ship and ripping a child in utero limb from limb with forceps remains to be soundly defended. Repent and believe the gospel. Christ died to save sinners.
We have been boldly and self-righteously flaunting and defending biological modification to include transsexual surgical mutilation for both adults and children for decades. If you have ever defended, supported, or affirmed child transsexuality, you are Epstein. You held the coats, not the torch. Repent and believe the gospel. Christ died to save sinners.
We have been profiting from dishonest gain
since the stock market was inventedby failing to investigate what our portfolios actually contain. We don't even read the ingredients on our skincare products, many of which contain collagen harvested from murdered children. Many of us have unwittingly, because thoughtlessly, invested in companies owned by pedophiles whose dividends drip blood. We complain that our taxes are being used for unrighteous purposes without our consent, but we give full consent to what goes into our brokerage accounts because we put it there, and I've heard not one voice own up to that. (Notably, Microsoft has plummeted.) Repent and believe the gospel. Christ died to save sinners.
We don't get to cry about the Epstein files while benefitting from the more culturally acceptable grotesqueries that do—always, inevitably—lead to Epstein Island. We don't get to worship the Baals for half a century and act surprised to find ourselves in Babylon, or outraged at the Babylonians who taught us all the cool tricks. We have claimed the right to absolute sexual liberation and are now shocked that no one is swinging from the gallows for exercising that same “right.” We live in a culture that will not punish the wicked because we are the wicked, and we have demanded and won our freedom to act in any way we so choose without punishment. In the providence of God, that freedom is our punishment (see Romans 1). The only way to true, everlasting freedom is to turn ourselves in. Repent and believe the gospel. Christ died to save sinners. He lives to defend His saints. And He will wash His feet in the blood of the wicked.

Amen and Christ have mercy.
I wish more people were reading this! Thank you Hope for shining these uncomfortable lights.
